Had a wonderful time walking through the trails. Some look more traveled and others look less traveled. Beautiful place & beautiful flowers all around. Loved the outside classroom, fairy garden, & the artisan well. Can't wait to go back to explore more. 😊
Mar 24, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is a well preserved well kept natural historical landscape full of wildlife, flowers, bushes, trees so old and huge they look ash white! Y'all!!! When I say pictures cannot capture the depth of what our natural eyes can see believe me! Pictures cannot describe with no amount of certainty the shear girth of some of these old trees. It is literally impossible! Seeing is believing!
May 28, 2026 · Google ReviewWent hiking here in the rain, even with it raining and in the winter time it was an enjoyable walk. I did not do the full trail as after a certain amount of time I was getting a little wet even with my prep. I fully intend to revisit when it is not raining to enjoy the full trail. Wonderful views, I loved seeing the Cypress knees along the trail. I did take some pictures with my phone but did not take my Sony camera. It doesn't get out in the rain. It was a little cool weather when I went but it was interesting seeing what looked like old ATV trails along the way. I will post a few photos for people to see.
Feb 4, 2026 · Google ReviewI spent most of the day outdoors and loved every minute of it! Kalmia Gardens in Hartsville has so many trails to explore! I have to go back to complete the rest! I was not prepared for the mosquitos though. My repellent wasn't strong enough! I had to get some from the grounds guy. There are trail markers and lots of different terrain. Black Creek was so peaceful. There is a bathroom near parking and a porta potty at the trail end.
Sep 5, 2025 · Google ReviewGardens are spacious, the boardwalk lacks maintenance. Didn’t see any flowers this time of year. Beautiful pond with fish and turtles, and very quiet. There are tables by the entrance for some lunch and relaxation. If anyone plans to walk the trails, bring bug spray and prepared to take down a few spider webs or walk through them.
