John BurkeI had an excellent experience staying in Hartsville. The location was perfect, and the staff could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. Sheniqua at the front desk made check-in a breeze she was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She even recommended some great local dining spots and offered a complimentary gym pass to the YMCA, which was a thoughtful touch. The room exceeded expectations. It was extremely clean and felt more like a spacious apartment than a standard hotel room, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. When I checked out the next morning, Jade greeted me with the same level of warmth and professionalism. She made sure my visit had been perfect, which really stood out. I travel out of town several times a month, and it’s easy to forget how much of an impact the staff has on the overall experience. Stylish, comfortable, and right in the heart of downtown Hartsville, it feels like the hotel is part of the community - not just sitting in it. The rooftop bar is a must — great vibe, great energy, and clearly a local gathering spot as much as a guest perk. What really stands out is the people. The General Manager is excellent — professional, warm, and clearly proud of the team and the hotel. I met front desk staff and a housekeeper during my stay, and everyone was friendly, engaged, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there and with each other. That kind of culture shows. This place feels led by the people who are there every day, and proud to be at the center of it all. Highly recommend.

Seraphin KibongeIf I could give 6 stars for service, I would. I came down for a friend's wedding, and the team at The Mantissa Hotel made it an unforgettable experience. The staff was amazing from the moment we arrived, but the absolute highlight was when they went out of their way to open the rooftop bar for our wedding party late at night. It was the perfect cap to an eventful evening and a memory we’ll have forever. Matthew Lee and Justin specifically were incredible; they were so willing to work with us to make everything perfect and personable. On top of the stellar service, the rooms were impressively large and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Connie BellRachel is top notch front desk personnel! Suites are enormous yet cozy. Always fresh, hot coffee in lobby or your own fully stocked kitchen. One minute to Coker University and close to everything in town.
