Nice little spot to walk or take your pup out for awhile. Bridges across the creek. Plenty of secret spots. Wildlife and lots of poison ivy wrapped around beautiful oak trees. Does that make it poison oak?! lol nice place. Open all the time. Don’t leave trash. There is places for trash. They even provide dog bags for poop. Didn’t see any fishing spots but I’m sure a cane pole would find fishing bait for the next waterfront over It’s very quiet.
May 18, 2025 · Google ReviewA gorgeous park in the heart of Darlington that celebrates the beauties of cypress creeks and bottomland forest. Perfect for rambles of all sorts, and you are sure to see examples of local wildlife, deer included. Impressive labeling of plant species with great details
May 15, 2025 · Google ReviewA Hidden Gem in the Heart of Darlington! Williamson Park is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited! This park is a hidden gem, nestled right in the heart of Darlington, and it offers a peaceful escape into nature. Whether you're taking a relaxing stroll along the boardwalk, enjoying a picnic in the shaded areas, or just listening to the sounds of the creek running through the park, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The park is incredibly well-maintained, with its winding trails taking you through stunning scenery filled with towering trees and lush greenery. You can spot wildlife, hear birds chirping, and sometimes even catch a glimpse of the turtles basking by the water. It’s a photographer’s dream and a wonderful place to reconnect with nature! One of the best parts is how accessible it is—perfect for families, casual walkers, and anyone looking to enjoy some fresh air. The community clearly loves and supports this park, and with its 100th anniversary coming up, it's obvious why this place holds such a special place in Darlington’s heart. It’s not just a park; it’s a piece of the town’s soul. If you’re ever in Darlington or passing through, don’t miss Williamson Park! It’s a peaceful oasis where you can relax, explore, and appreciate the beauty of South Carolina’s natural landscape. I can’t wait to come back!
Oct 15, 2024 · Google ReviewWe love going here. It's so beautiful and I really enjoy the boardwalks. Our dog loves going too. Every season has something new to offer, and there is information on the plants, trees and wildlife all along the trails. There are a few picnic areas. There are no restrooms.
Aug 17, 2019 · Google ReviewI've recently need to pass through this lovely park and although I'm not a morning person usually this park has made me one. Theres so many wild inhabitants to see and so many beautiful fauna, and with spring coming in I can see personally the forest coming back to life. I've always loved this park but being alone in it on these spring mornings has been really a treat. Now I have good inspiration to start painting again. I really recommend it for bird watchers and nature enthusiasts, there's so many different species of birds and animals in general. It's a nice place to picnic too but I do have to say during the summer you should definantly put on some bug spray.
