Nice park just off I20 so a nice place to stop when traveling. Park is pretty, clean bathrooms, we did not have kids with us but others were enjoying the playground. We are older and have taken up walking trails as a way to enjoy nature and get in better shape. That being said, the trails here were a bit confusing trying to follow the markings and map but that could just be our inexperience. All in all, it’s a nice park, would go back again.
May 5, 2026 · Google ReviewThis State Park is a hidden gem. The staff, park rangers and camp site personnel are so nice and interactive with us who have booked an extended stay. The park is beautiful and has so many trails to walk and discover. The equestrian park was well kept and maintained. Definitely coming back soon.
Apr 12, 2026 · Google ReviewI would absolutely come here again. We asked if the water was tested and totally safe and it is. We put it in our travel cup and felt like regular pioneers. I heard there's an even better artesian well up the dirt road to the right as you come in if I remember correctly. Here's the map to it:
Jul 8, 2026 · Google ReviewThis park is a gem! We had fantastic hikes through the wetlands, forest, and Sandhills. The sites are spacious, the restrooms are spotless and huge, and things were very peaceful during our stay there.
Mar 31, 2026 · Google ReviewNice lite park. Half is equestrian sites. Sites are dirt but I was able to level ok. Only about 1/3 of the sites are full hookups. Remainder have water and electricity and there is a dump station. Campsites are wooded but I was able to get good Starlink service.
