We have driven by here several times, but this was our first hike all the way around. Gorgeous and cool once you make it around to the tree cover. We saw lots of turtles, deer and fish. Very easy 2 mile hike.

Do not wear open toe shoes. Summertime there are bugs everywhere. There are several picnic areas, plenty of flat spaces for a blanket picnic area, hiking trail, alligators have been spotted at the lake in the past.

She's a far cry away from the Ashwood Lake she once was, and she's got more sticks and roots in her than I thought possible but she's still alive and kicking. A beautiful spot to visit, maybe not so much for fishing tho. I'm looking forward to seeing her get back to form with time and more upkeep.

A beautiful small lake covered in water lilies. Lots of different kinds of birds around the shore. A fishing pier with picnic tables located on both sides of the lake. Also a small boat ramp close to one of the shelters with handicap parking.

It's a beautiful peaceful lake to sit n write even catch a nap with beautiful Full Moon or watching Sun Sets .... I used this beautiful 😍 view for of my book writings ..... It would be quite Divine to be accessible 24 hours a day as a writer lol
