Never got a chance to eat. The wait time was first 25 min, then 15 to 20 more after that because they were waiting for a large group to show up and serve them first rather than serve 2 customers who tip well. Oh well!!

My family and I had the pleasure of eating at Tootsie's a few weeks ago. We arrived about 1:15pm on a Sunday after getting out of church. It was packed; the hostess offered to sit us upon arrival if we could split up, but since the 5 of us wanted to sit together we waited about 30 min for a larger table; we reviewed the menu while waiting and had decided what we wanted to order. Once seated, the server arrived in less than a minute, she was very nice. She started by telling us everything they were out of: salmon- which I wanted, fried chicken, oxtails etc. We completely understood because you can't expect a small restaurant like this to stock unlimited amounts of food supply. We made our decision based on what was available- we chose, lamb chops, turkey wings and chicken wings/waffles, grits, collard greens, mac/cheese & green beans. I also ordered a lemon drop. The food was excellent, all of it! Fresh, well seasoned, generous portions and reasonably priced. Our server was great! The lemon drop was one of the best I've had. I loved the relaxed atmosphere. We will go back soon, but will be there when the doors open next time!

Im Absolutely in love with this place....food was sooooo good as well as service from Ms. Karlie. This is a gem everyone must try! Those red velvet pancakes melt in your mouth. The grits were creamy and season to perfection. I have no problem coming from Charleston to visit this place!!!

We had a really good experience here on Saturday morning! We ordered two kids’ pancakes with bacon and eggs, the grits sampler, salmon bites, mini chicken & waffle bites, and the breakfast pizza special. Everything we tried was really good, and there was plenty of food for the price. The atmosphere was probably one of my favorite things about the place. It has a really relaxing, old-school country feel, with lots of cool decorations throughout. I also really liked that they have different areas for the bar, regular dining, and groups/families. The kids had Giant Jenga, Giant Checkers, and a TV to keep them entertained, which is always a big plus when you're eating out with kids. The host was super friendly and welcoming, and our server Cat did a great job. Even with a decent Saturday morning crowd, we were well taken care of and never felt forgotten. But the food was definitely the star of the show. Everything had big flavor, the portions were just right for the price, and honestly, every item in a dish could have stood on its own. You can tell they're taking Southern classics and putting their own elevated spin on them without losing that comfort-food feel. They’re a new business, and if this visit is any indication, they’re off to a great start. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back to try some more of the menu. Definitely recommend giving them a shot and supporting this local spot!
