Such a great place! Family owned and operated and they are some amazingly nice people. Our Scout Troop has come here every year for five years running! We camp on site, kayak, swim and have a great time. Whether your a big group, or just a couple looking for some paddle time on the Lynches River, this is your place!

I contacted River Rats about a 4th of July reservation. The owner was very understanding, and explained the different trips they offer & what kind of groups they had going out that day. I explained I was an experienced kayaker, with my own gear, and what I really needed was shuttle service. He was eager to help, told me to come on out, and get it the water. The shuttle fee was $20, more than reasonable for their level of service. I did a 10 mile trip down Lynches River. His employees were great, answered my questions, and were just generally down-to-earth & friendly guys. My trip was fantastic. The water level was low in a couple of spots, but not a real problem. It was a good float, with a couple of places that the water slowed down. It took me 6 hours to complete the trip, that's with a couple of stops & a good swim. Give them a try. We'll worth it.

We love the people, atmosphere, and ease of everything they offer. Prices are very reasonable, all you have to do is show up, they provide the kayaks (single and tandem), a shuttle, paddles and life jackets. Can’t beat it for the price. We’ve only done the 5 mile so far but definitely will be trying the 10 mile before the end of this summer, then this will be part of our monthly budget. Peaceful and relaxing for a nice reset from the real world.
