Tara GaineyThe hotel needs a few upgrades and renovations, although the staff was kind. When my husband walked by the wall some of the corner paneling fell off onto him 3-4 times during our stay. The drainage in the shower leaves much to be desired. The bathroom had some holes in the wall and areas where the wallpaper was coming off and areas where it had been repaired recently. The tile floor leaked in front of the bathroom door when we showered and nothing from the shower reached the door so it must be under the tile. Wet socks are not a nice experience. During our visit they had the carpet professionally steam cleaned, the pool was closed (no sign on the pool door about it being closed, just the door being broken), the laundry machine was broken, and 1 of the 4 exercise machines was out of order and the other one had damages too. I saw after looking up reviews that the pool was out of order 10 months ago so I'm not sure if it's been out of service since then or not. The elevators stopped working and had to be maintenanced but the staff had put a sign on the elevator to let us know. Using the stairs showed how old the carpet was and how dusty the stairwell walls and crevices were. The ice machine didn't look particularly clean either. The front staff was kind at check in, they provided us with a paper tv guide, and our room had a microwave and good sized refrigerator as well as a pull out couch. The air conditioner worked and the water pressure in the shower was adequate. The tub was stained with something black and the toilet paper dispenser was coming out from the wall. The same toothpick was in the elevator the day we checked in and 2 days later when we checked out. I thought there were only 2 floors but there are 3..but the elevator floor button fell off. The bed was very comfortable and they gave us a good amount of pillows. I appreciated the bedside tables with lamps that included an outlet for our phones to charge and the small movable side tables for the couch area. The hot buffet breakfast was average and included microwaved bacon, scrambled eggs, a hot sandwich or muffin, sausage, cereal and milk, juice, activia yogurt, chocolate milk, hard boiled eggs, bagels and breads, coffee, fresh fruit like apples or bananas, and oatmeal (but no microwave, just hot water).
