I have been stopping here every time for over 20 years on the way to the beach. It is my family tradition. However I was there today and a little disappointed. The bathrooms were nasty. I mean disgusting!! And out of all the stalls, the ladies bathroom had no toilet paper. Everyone in there were asking each other for some. But there was none at all. Prices are so so. But a fun place to stop.
Jun 29, 2026 · Google ReviewFun pit stop along your way home, something for everyone. Our favorite part is the candy shop and fudge counter. Clean bathrooms and good fuel prices. Our only criticism is painfully slow order prep at the cafe, 30 minutes for a simple breakfast sandwich, with no one in front of you really ruins the experience.
Jun 27, 2026 · Google Review⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lots of fireworks, food and much more! Nice place, something for everyone! -⭐️Bathroom had no soap and they had a sign up saying they hand none… not hard to go buy soap for customers till your shipment gets in… highly unsanitary, especially for an establishment where you serve food!!!
Jul 29, 2024 · Google ReviewWe started seeing Sparky signs coming from Myrtle Beach - LOTS of them. After awhile we couldn't resist & decided we'd have to check "Sparky's Fireworks & Gas" out. One of our party, a former firefighter, found that funny and we had a lark speculating on that. Sparky's IS a "must-see" if you like a rambling shop. We found the history interesting (it's not that old). It had struggled - surrounded itself with billboards until you couldn't hardly see the store - and added as business demand expanded . . . Those billboards definitely helped. They made us decide to stop there. The store certifies that "tacked on" impression, being interconnected "departments", one of which is a grill which serves omelets for breakfast & has a short-order lunch menu. We hit the latter, and it was good, especially the fries. Nice crispy 'crunch' coating. 🙂 It's a rambling store with modern service pumps (gas), souvenirs (mostly Myrtle Beach/beach), clothing, fireworks, gas, food - including some *excellent* Honey Crisp and Praline pecans. We bought 2 bags. Mmmm. Boiled peanuts, ice cream, treats, snacks & beer galore. Jewelry, statues, figurines of all kinds (including dragons, one of my favorite). They also include an edged-weapons section - ninja swords & the like, plus various handsome cutlery. Staff was excellent. Bathrooms, however - let's just say cleanliness is a matter of perspective. They were C, C+ at best IMO. In their defense, they were busy, lots of traffic. If you want to just ramble, it'll take about 1/2 to 1 hour of your time. Fun just to poke around.
