Woods Bay State Park was a peaceful and enjoyable place to spend some time outdoors. The trails were well marked, and there was an abundance of wildlife throughout the park, which made the hike especially interesting. The park is clearly in need of some repairs and updates, and it appears that some of that work is underway. Even with those areas needing attention, I very much enjoyed my 1.5-mile hike. One thing I especially appreciated was the informative signage along the trails. It added to the experience and helped explain more about the natural environment and what makes the area unique. A quiet, relaxing place to hike, observe wildlife, and enjoy the surroundings. I’m glad I stopped and would certainly visit again.

Very nice but relatively small swamp habitat, great area to experience the natural beauty of the area, great area for wildlife watching, you can encounter various snakes, lizards, turtles and alligators, as well as orb weaver spiders and many different birds. I strongly recommend wearing hiking boots when going on the nature trail .

Fun place to stretch the legs when driving back north. Loved the swamp board walk. Really wanted to see a gator, but didn't. Did, however see a large spider on the trail. Happened to bump into the park ranger, he was kind and informative.

A small but nice park. I got to see some of the pocket swamp that the area is known for. Although I did not see too many animals I did get to hear a few. The boardwalk was one of the interesting parts of my walk through the park. I found the staff/rangers that was there also very helpful. Although thee are signs saying there are aligators there I did not see any but I get to see them in South Florida all the time. Interesting plans and trees.

Really no where to fish unless you want to attract alligators. Saw one alligator in the water along the boardwalk and ended up leaving since we had children.
