Will it Wine- A Homestead Fermentation Workshop
Start with a walk around Fokker Hill Farm and take a look at what might become wine, from the obvious fruits and flowers to some of the more unusual things growing wild or cultivated around the farm. We’ll talk about what can be fermented, what makes a good wine, and what technically can be fermented but probably shouldn’t be... though we may try it anyway. After the farm walk, we’ll get hands-on and learn the basics of turning those ingredients into a small batch of homemade wine. You’ll leave with your own fermentation kit so you can keep experimenting at home.
