The multifaceted landscape of our region provides a unique opportunity to see a colorful array of flora and fauna. Native plant life ranges from stately trees like bald cypress, sycamores, and lowland oaks, to an assortment of greenery like wild blueberries, bog plants, flowering dogwoods, cattails, and more. Local wildlife is just as varied, with everything from deer, foxes, raccoons, and several dozen species of birds, to otters, coyotes, and bobcats.
